Meet bailey

Hey! I’m Bailey. I was born in Wyandotte and lived in Gibraltar as a kid. I also lived in Germany for 7 years on an Air Force Base (Military Brat!) before moving to Florida to attend a performing arts high school, Boston to attend college for theatre, and then Chicago to work as a professional actor and cabaret artist. I’ve lived in Michigan for the past 25 years, mostly in the metro Detroit area. I created and built a theatre company focused on delivering classical works through contemporary lenses, featuring and elevating young artists. 

I worked in Learning and Development, Education. Hospitality, and Advertising. I produced, wrote, directed, and acted. But deep down I always had a passion for houses – architecture, design, landscaping – and for helping people find “home”. If you couldn’t tell, it took me a long time to understand what that word means. It is not in the location, not in the house, not in the people, not in the culture, but in ALL of it. 

And most of all, it is the sense of security that allows us to rest, grow, and thrive as humans. 

I love this state. I came to Lansing because I fell in love with a house. Now I’ve fallen for the food, the communities, the diversity. I love my westside neighborhood, and you can catch me walking my three dogs on any given day. For the record, their names are August, Bastian, and Zoey.
