A-Z Local Spots In Greater Lansing

There are a ton of great local spots in Greater Lansing and we wanted to make a list of some of our favorites from A-Z! We have been releasing each letter once a week on our socials –> So go follow our Instagram at @thelocal.lansing! – and we have continued to document them here, so that you have a list you can keep coming back to!

A is for Aldacos Tacos

An authentic Mexican hotspot with AMAZING food and truly authentic tacos, some of the best in town!

B is for blue owl Coffee

Blue Owl Coffee is a Lansing staple when it comes to coffee shops and it is beyond loved by the community. Their coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is top tier. They have locations in Old Town, REO Town, and East Lansing.

C is for campbell's Market

We are quite obsessed with Campbell’s Market. It is a small, locally-owned market with a bakery and a little cafe inside. It seriously is a one stop shop for

D is for Dunk'd Cookies

Dunk’d Cookies is the COOLEST concept! They are a cookie shop with rotating flavors every week that keep you coming back for more! (We often find ourselves on the edge of our seats waiting for the flavors to drop)

e is for east ellison brewery

Great beer and affordable specials are what you’ll find at Ellison Brewery, one of the many hidden gems in the Greater Lansing area!

F is for for crepe sake

For Crepe Sake is both cute and delicious! Breakfast, brunch, and lunch with your best friends is calling your name at For Crepe Sake ASAP! This cute local shop is located in East Lansing, close to great local boutiques where you could make a whole morning of your visit!

G is for Good Truckin Diner

Soon to be in a brand new and BIGGER location, Good Truckin Diner is the local’s go-to spot for breakfast and lunch and so naturally, it makes for a GREAT experience for visitors and locals alike. They have a variety of vegan and gluten-free options as well.

H is for hooked

Hooked is a bookstore and community space housing a coffee shop and wine bar and they also host a variety of events!

I is for iorio gelato

Iorio Gelato is by far a HIDDEN gem, as it’s found inside of Horrocks Market in the Waverly neighborhood of Lansing. The flavors are bountiful and the gelato is SO good!

J is for joes on jolly

Joe’s On Jolly is a super nice restaurant in Okemos, Michigan with a menu full of favorites and rotating monthly specials you will love!

k is for koala bakery and cafe

Chinese cuisine and favorites located in East Lansing!

L is for looking glass brewing co

This local brewery in Downtown Dewitt is seriously loads of fun!! They have a ton of events they host and have great locally brewed beers and food to enjoy. Head out for a comedy night or trivia night the next time you’re looking for something fun!

M is for Meat BBQ

M is for Meat BBQ – which is a Local Element Greater Lansing top 10 restaurant in Lansing. It is located in Old Town and makes for the best date night, night out for good food, or takeout!

N is for noosh

Authentic Afghan Cuisine is hard to find, but Noosh is the place to go for it. Choose from Afghan favorites like Kabobs, Shawarma, and more!

O is for Ozones Brewhouse

Ozones Brewhouse is an Old Town brewery with great locally-brewed beers, wine, cocktails, and an outdoor patio to enjoy in the summer as well as their “Mustang Room” which is their indoor space when it might be a little colder (and it’s cozy in the winter months!)
